5th Annual Jungle Spirit Yoga Retreat
Haramara Retreat Center, Sayulita, Mexico
Feb. 22-29, 2020
Renew your spirit and passion for life in just one blissful week. Join me off the grid at the tropical oasis, Haramara Retreat Center, for a magical inward journey; get grounded in the rawness that is the Mexican jungle, practice being present under the Pacific sun, bend and stretch without the distractions of laundry or groceries, and breathe freely as you revel in the organic culinary mastery of the Haramara kitchen. Expect 3 delicious locally-sourced meals a day, one morning and one evening yoga practice, peaceful and comfortable cabana accommodation, optional participation in a variety of activities (spa days, boat tours, bird watching), and spectacular black sand beach and ocean views (with migrating whales!).
Throughout the retreat we encourage self-care, simplicity, stopping the glorification of ‘busy’, connecting to the spirit within, and laughing. The Mexico Jungle Spirit Retreat is ideal for anyone looking to remember how to practice living in the moment, anyone who wants to pause their busy lifestyle and reflect on the beauty of this planet, and for anyone who wants to to relax in an environment where all the details are taken care of. Our guests always leave this lush and tropical immersion feeling inspired, nourished, calmed and recharged. We are grateful to host people of all yoga backgrounds and abilities.
Hi! I'm Laura Martini and I've been leading yoga retreats for 9 years now. I believe in the power of yoga and self-devlopment like nobody's business which is why I commit to making every retreat better than the last (and I've hosted nearly 50!). I'm passionate about authenticity, radical acceptance, and meeting new people. I love facilitating these retreats and sharing my crush on travel to exotic locales (I have a university degree in Cultural Anthropology). There are so many things to love about the location of this getaway: the climate, the magic you’ll feel in Sayulita’s plazas, the sound of the ocean lulling you to sleep each night, and the deep respect for the nature and history of the land. Join me and my hubby in February for a retreat your friends will be ridiculously jealous to hear about:)
Native and untouched tropical vegetation surrounds and embraces each one of the 16 private palapa cabanas (palm thatched cabins) and an 8 bed deluxe "dormitory". Each charming and cozy cabana has been carefully designed to subtly merge the internal and external environments while meeting strict ecological standards with as little disturbance to the flora and fauna as possible. Stunning ocean and/or jungle views abound from every cabana.
Cabanas are spread over the 12 acres of the property making each one absolutely secluded and private. Enjoy the rustic luxury of any one of the personally designed cabanas, which feature comfortable beds with hand woven sheets, oil lamps, and candles for softly lit evenings, and original and uniquely designed individual bathrooms. All cabanas have private hammocks for lazy afternoon siestas (naps).
Bathrooms are elegant and private with every detail attended to - even fresh flowers. Getting to and from places at Haramara is a delight - every foot of jungle path and the private beach is hand raked each morning. It is all part of the magic.
Each day Laura will lead 2 all levels yoga classes. The morning class will be a vinyasa flow style class whereas the evening or afternoon class will be more gentle and restorative. Laura will also lead some conversation on yogic philosophy, history, and spirituality throughout the retreat. Laura is able to accommodate anyone on her retreats, including those with severe injuries and/or no yoga practice whatsoever. Classes will on average be 1.5 hours in length.

The daily menus are carefully chosen by a chef and are based on the ingredients that are available that day.
